We’re going to look at the three main ways of brewing at home. Here we’re only interested in methods that will reasonably produce great results. By reasonably we mean easily affordable and with only moderate skill required.

That rules out espresso machines because for great results you need considerable skill and an expensive machine and grinder.

We don’t recommend using automatic coffee machines such as pod machines as they don’t let you control the variables you need to make great coffee.
